Bit Cruncher is a new take on distortion. It converts any signal into a discrete stepped output, and can be used to distort audio or CV. The output’s resolution is continuously variable and can be modulated with CV. When used to process audio, it imparts a certain 8-bit charm; when used on CV the results can sound glitchy and jarring.

Available as a built module or a straightforward DIY project. All components are through hole and easy to source.
